Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

May be current employees* at ConocoPhillips can explain this? *the carefully selected employees after the several layoffs

Exxon, Chevron, Hess agree to joint bid for Mexico offshore reserves.

How come we did not hear anything about cop future projects? I thought all companies are all strangling like cop, is it just cop? (I'm trying to compare Apple to Apple so Please don't talk about the 3 rigs in Alaska)

COP is more broke than Venezuela! No company in their right mind would partner with COP!

Sorry folks, but you can't compare COP to Exxon or Chevron! They are large DIVERSIFIED companies with other elements of their business to fall back on when oil prices are not so favorable (chemicals, refining,etc..). COP dumb a-- senior management spun all of that off little by little, leaving the company totally dependent on oil prices alone.

We are exiting deep water. Following the CHK road to bankruptcy. Obama admin is putting more restictions on drilling in the gulf after the BP mess. Go to Mexico less regs = more cash.
