Who has EEOC retaliation stories that they can share?

Federal and State labor laws are irrelevant ... the company does what it wants and then pays the money if you go through the EEOC process (and have the money and time for it). I am wandering what other laws ConocoPhillips management choose to break ...
Supervisor noted low performance due to disability (supervisor listed characteristics of the disability). I filed via EEOC and received a right to sue letter. The lawyers advised me to pursue the issue only if fired. In the end I was laid off and not fired. Not clear if pursuing the issue would be of value. HR indicated 100% support of the supervisor. HR indicated I had every right to sue the company. The entire process is a mockery of federal labor laws. The lawyers determine if the company is at risk and the company proceeds as such. The company is more concerned with embarrassment. Decisions are not based on legal factors. Decisions are not based on monetary factors.
