Aetna getting too greedy. has too many hands in the kettle at the same time. wants to own everything. getting too greedy too fast. if not careful they will fall flat on their face and end up losing everything. not happy unless they own everything or nearly everything. probably going to have huge layoffs in order for higher-ups maintain the living they are accustomed too at employee expense. do not think Aetna will win this fight. that is just my opinion. layoffs here you come

Well, It looks like no merger with Humana. I wonder how much money the executive team will NOT receive as a result of this?
Very soon Judge Bates will decide if the people of this country are more important than the few ;)
I would take ERP in a heartbeat. If only I were 10 years older. Aetna is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. Greedy and souless. I worked for them 10 years ago. Quit, went somewhere else and then they acquired the new company I went to work for. Hey Mark, I don't want a crappy watch or some horrible high deductible health plan.
As a victim of this as of last week, just wanted to say that in my area it was NOT the management that got let go. None of the senior management, directors, project managers ... but Admin and phone reps all GONE(outsourcing at it's finest). Offer early retirement but with your arm twisted because you know it's more attractive than standard severance pkg. many with 20+ years tenure. I would call it forced early retirement.
Agree Agree Agree. I've been there 10 years. Management in national accounts awful. All for themselves. No growth upper management needs to feel how it feels to out out so much effort and gain so little from a company such as Aenta. GEED UNDEED.
If they happen, it will be from management down. They get rid of them first because they get paid the most.
I totally agree only a matter of time before layoffs start. Knew there was a catch to that pay increase last year! Greedy corporate America!
