Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

email scam and denbury death

The banner on this page that says someone blocked you is a scam - BEWARE>

Just learned that Denbury does not allow their managers to give job references for the former Denbury employees. What a chicken-sh-- company. I'm kissing my 2,900 shares goodbye and wondering how many of you 40-50 year olds are sitting there with a high pucker factor - will you be next ?? You will never have the balls to quit when things get better, so ask yourself now, "Do I want to go through this sh-- every 4-6 years ?"

I was laid off at 40 and reluctantly became an independent geologist. Got my teaching certification and that is a snap if you get your sh-- together. Takes less than a year at night and your family gets med insurance..

I would suggest going independent but most of the engineers and geologists working for large companies could not survive as an independent. I listened to them everyday for 16 years b--ching about who got that last promotion or trashing the company itself. But, they gotta have that 3 weeks, 401k and paycheck every two weeks, so you guys better stay on the sugar tit- until it dries up !!

It will get better and then it will get sh--ty again - you can bet on that.

Denbury is not the only company that Managers are not allowed to give a reference to employees that have left the company or for that matter still employed but looking, Personally, I wouldn't want my Manager at Denbury to give me a reference anyway. It is a trust issue.

The managers no longer associated with Done-berry can give you a better reference since they don't have to worry about the click. I personally would trust their opinion a lot more than a good ol' boy that is still there.
