@IPeCsDH-ooq - "This is surprising with all the Indians around and the increase hiring of Indian females.

Go to SC or Oregon and it will become obvious."

Agree, HW engineering teams at OR (to a somewhat lesser degree), SC and especially FM are now at least >50% Indian, with a significant proportion of females.

It is surprising they still cannot meet goals.

To me, this whole URM business is just a ploy to hire more H1B Indians and get rid of OWGs.

The urm hiring goals need to go away (the pool is way too small and cost a lot to comb through). The goal should at most be a flat 45% diversity hiring rate. And even that may be impossible with less non-technical positions available. On the retention side, Intel needs to get its act together. In my opinion new hires just use Intel as a training ground for more exciting opportunities.

The execution on diversity initiates has been horrible. The "programs" are generally hated by urms and non-urms. The warm line is a joke.

It's incredible our idiot CEO cant even get this one thing right. BK and his "Chief Diversity Officer" Aicha couldnt lead water downhill if their lives depended on it. They need to be fired by BOD and perp walked out on the spot.

The stupidity of ACT has actually worked against hiring the best minority employees.

One of the key provisions in ACT is consolidating smaller sites into Hillsboro and Santa Clara, neither of which is, let's say, a top choice for African American employees. Getting the best African American applicants to accept a job in suburban Portland is nearly impossible. I tried. Ain't happening.

This initiative is running on fumes. It was Rene James's brainchild. She's gone. "Chief Diversity Officer" Aicha Evans tried to leave. So she has one foot out the door. And a million bigger issues.

It's sad to hear BK acting as if this is actually important to him, of course, beyond saving face from one more thing that he failed at accomplishing at Intel.
