Whos Rachel she sounds like she is hot stuff .
I remember years ago finding a folder on one of the network drives that contained hundreds of Solidworks models. It was just open to anyone who had that drive available to their login. I copied the entire folder to a thumb drive. They should really control that stuff better.
I collected those driver from events that i was in and it had no NOV work on it. i called many times and talked to HR about it and always the same answer legal department did not release any thumb drivers yet including mine. i will give them a call see what's going on
they will keep stalling, bottom line you are not getting your stuff back
happens at every facility
Per chance are there any pics of Rachel on the thumb drive ?
This one is easy to figure out. OK, think about it. Do you think NOV has the time to go through each drive to determine whether the files on it are propriety or property of NOV or your own personal work as an engineer? And besides, as an engineer, I think the work you do while employed by an employer is the property of the company. I am not saying this to be mean, but the facts are the facts. Take this as a lesson to never leave personal items or intelligence you created on the property of an employer in the future. Always backup what is yours and take home every day. Also, with the environment of constant layoffs at any company these days, don't think that a layoff can't happen to you. I saw lots of very good workers walked out of NOV.
That Is why I packed ALL my personal belongings months ago. You never know who's number is next. Hopefully it doesn't happen but its better to be prepared for any eventuality.
Why would you have personal work on a drive at work, much less 4 of them? You're non disclosure agreement and employment agreement may allow them to keep them. Get a lawyer, after this long, you need to act.
Take them to small claims court. Don't wait. I had to. To retrieve personal possessions.
