Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

5G is coming sooner than we think

"I think in general, if you'd have asked me that question, a year ago, I would have said that it would have happened closer to 2020. Certainly over the last year and accelerating here over the last quarter there has been a real pull to push that in or to pull that in closer to 2018/2019 timeframe depending on what the deployment is." Aicha/Amir, guys so will we be able to get our 5G modem out in 2017? We need this product to implement the pervasiveness of the fog. Right? Right? Right?

WTF, you can put a 5G in your mobile device but do your research and see how long it took for 3G and 4G/LTE to become widespread for the carriers, they need to invest hundreds of billion to upgrade their network, what a joker.. of course Qualcomm and BK wants you to believe 5G is around the corner.

I can remember well every executive the turnaround and next big thing is coming sooner than you think.

Shut up Diane the only G you are normally interested in is your G-spot. How the f--- did you get DCG and I got CCG. I mean a monkey can make money in servers at the moment.

Calm down sister. 5G doesn't affect you it won't make a difference to server sales.

If it's connected and computes it does it best with Intel. The machines are coming.

What's 5G again? Is this like a new trend in compute? If so I want in! Let's buy a startup to show we can do it.

Not this again we blew billions on wimax. I dare not even add up the losses on LTE. now another expensive failure on 5G. Can't this wait till I move jobs?

We will topple the industry again. What we need to do is work smarter not harder, embrace change, take TWWW to the next level and keep climbing.

Intel is uniquely placed to take advantage of this revolution in mobile. I personally equate this to the steps our ancestors made when they left the oceans and took the first steps on land
