We we talk for a second about how completely inept Chevron has been trying to get us laid off employees cobra coverage? I appreciate the fact that they are covering a big chunk of the coverage, but does it have to take some incredibly long to get it processed?
Last day of work was end of April.... last date of employment was June 13.... still had health coverage until June 30. Why did it take almost the end of July before I even received my paperwork to being the cobra coverage. They knew I would need it way back in April! I paid the first few months IMMEDIATELY online. It still took ADP almost 10 days to inform Chevron of my election and payment..... 10 whole days. Now Chevron is telling me it takes 2-3 weeks before Chevron will inform United Healthcare about my continued insurance coverage. Essentially, I'm not insured for 2 months because Chevron can't get their act together.
Yes, I know I can pay out of pocket and get reimbursed, but this all just creates paperwork nightmares for EVERYONE ELSE.
