Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Got the SPP refund check today - it was not the entire amount reflected in my last stub period to date column - anybody know why?

My SPP refund is not the entire amount that was reflected on my last paystub. They refunded me about $800 less and that amount still shows in the A stock period to date column on the refund stub.

Any answers on why? Called payroll and was told it must be a bug in the paystub - they are escalating my issue for further review.

@3whm

The SPP refund should come in a separate check.

Under the Deduction/Other you should see two line items, one should say A Stock and the other should say A Stock CarryFwd.

To the responders on SPP, did the verbiage on paystub say "SPP" or something else? Did it come on separate check or on lump sum payout?

I wonder on that, because my paystub didn't have no wording of SPP.

I got a check today but it wasn't for SPP, it was the QBP. (read the stub) -

ERP here..and yes...I got the QBP today also...the SPP is sitting in the fidelity account

So I am just waiting on the citi card loaded up and then I guess I am finished with Intel...lol

Why would you divide it by 26 @1iga? I thought exempts (which is the majority of folks on this forum) were paid the 1st and 15th (or thereabouts. The point is, twice a month). Non-exempts on the other hand, get paid every 2 weeks. so 26 times a year.

Not saying you're wrong.... just trying to understand how you came up with the number 26 for your calculation. I very well could be wrong about how exempts are paid. I was hourly.

Correct @swb re: So anything on paystub that happened Jan-Feb 19 would have been converted with the August-Feb buy period?

Try this calculation:

If you were at 5% contribution, Multiply your annual salary x.05

Then divide this number by 26. This is your per paycheck SPP witholding

Multipy that number by 10 (number of pay periods from feb 20 till the final june check)

Look at your final regular paycheck stub and see out much went out for stock. It will be less than your regular per paycheck contribution. Subtract the difference.

My calculation is a few dollars off from the amount of the refund using this calculation. Ignore the larger stock number we are all looking at. It was for the period ending Feb 20th 2016 and 6 months before.

we get more than 3 checks from jan1 to feb 19 (3 regular checks and 2 bonus checks)

It doesn't add up - we got three checks Jan-Feb 19 and the amount they did not refund/held back is more than those three SPP deductions.

Wonder if I will get any worthwhile response on my ticket, or if they will just ask me to restart my computer

That makes sense. So anything on paystub that happened Jan-Feb 19 would have been converted with the August-Feb buy period? Agree with comment about TAC, btw. They have never fixed any laptop issue. I always hoped they'd say "Let me give you a ticket number and you go to the PC Service center."

Now I have to go check. I thought I downloaded my last paystub but I can't find it; I am pretty sure they mailed a hardcopy too. Thanks for an informative post unlike the weird trolling. I did ask for an SPP refund even before I took the ERP because I knew I was going to. It came pretty fast, and through regular payroll process. Can't say the same with QPB and gift card. Whenever I call Ask HR, it is very obviously an outsourced offshore call center. They are probably swamped.

You're welcome. :)

I think the Call Center is about as useful as TAC. Need I say more? * chuckle * ;)

Actually yes... That makes sense. Would have been nice if the call center could have just explained that. Thanks for the explanation, and for reminding me about Feb-Aug.

One guess... your paystub goes from January 1st thru December 31st. However, the SPP is February thru August and August thru February, I do not recall if it's the 1st of February and August, or another date in the month. Could that 1+ month be the reason? Hopefully that makes sense.
