community college may not be a guarantee of a job, but it is pretty much guaranteed that they won't be indebted with high interest rate predatory loans until death. They will also receive a more hands on and better education at the community level. Courses with actual hands on learning, something very much lacking at EDMC schools.

You can blame the institution but here are no guarantees. Community Colleges and many private universities don't fair much better then AI on the placement and graduation rates. Like many people have said on this site, stay home and watch Youtube and go it alone. It is an option. At least you won't be racked with debt. It is your choice as a student, no one is is forcing you to attend college...learn a trade, drive a bus, paint houses, sell retail...college does not mean you will be successful. It is education, use it and become something bigger but it is not a golden ticket.

The degrees offered at The Art institute are mostly BS made up by marketing departments. Before they came along, there were no legitimate schools offering degrees in Video Games. The field itself didn't want it either. They wanted and still want talented artist who know how to use X software. Not Gamers who took a couple of drawing classes.

Students going into this program are clueless dreamers. Real life is not the stupid video games you like to play.

The truth is that MILLENNIAL COLLEGE GRADUATES are YOUNG, EDUCATED and JOBLESS. It is a sign of the times. Millennials face higher university tuitions and student loan debt than ever before, as well as stiffer competition when they enter the workforce. While having a high school degree used to be enough to make it into the middle class the bar is higher today. Millennials are the first generation that needs to have a college degree and experience to compete, before they even enter the workforce. And there are no guarantees of job security or happiness. Graduates are feeling let down by their universities and colleges, even as the institutions jack up the cost of tuition. We have a debate raging in this country right now over whether universities are supposed to teach for enlightenment or to prepare students for the job market.
