Who should replace Clay Williams? Once Q2 earnings are released it will be pretty obvious that it is time for new leadership. Pull out the previous quartly earnings transcripts and you will see it will be more of the same old BS news with nothing new to report. And the Wall Street analyst will not challenge him or his mindless CFO Jose. So investors and NOV employees will continue to get burned. Come on everybody let's hear some name. A lot of more qualified people can lead this company out of this mess. Please feel free to trash Clay and current management team while you are at it.

Clay is the WORST! Mark was AWESOME! Although tough, he made employees feel their worth as well as Pete. Joe is cool but he is too buddy buddy with management and the ongoing nepotism that is killing motivation!!!
When a job stops being career opportunity leading you to a better future it just becomes a paycheck leading to no commitment. So many companies don't get that and NOV has definitely made the top of the list! They want your commitment with nothing in return! F**K them!
Absolutely correct!! Clay and company have reacted too slowly. They should have downsized and cut cost much faster. Maybe then then our dividends would not have been reduced so dramatically to preserve cash now.
If not Joe bring back Mark Reese. I agree with your comment why Pete choose Clay over Mark as his preferred successor only the real insiders know. Mark was kinda of jerk and really tough but he got things done and got them done quickly. Problem with Clay is he is a little too soft and slow to react As much as people have complained about all these layoffs and budget cuts. They have not happened fast enough. Mark would have been ruthless and much quicker in his execution of downsizing and make the necessary re-org. Which unfortunately is the harse reality of this terrible down turn in O&G we have been facing. We have burned through so much unnecessary cash by not reacting fast enough like some of our peers.
Laid off a year ago, but I am still a shareholder. I think Joe Rovig should take over. At least Joe is a true O&G guy with tons of years experience both on the Sales and Ops side. What was Pete Miller thinking when he put a bean counter in charge?? He gave Clay a 12 month crash course on the NOV operations side and then suddenly named him as his successor when he planned his departure to the DNOW spinoff geez.
You sir are an a--hole. Show me one of our peers that has performed significantly better through the downtown. Clay has done well and Jose is too new to have an impact on the company's Q2 performance. Maybe you should NOV instead. I bet you're not making a positive impact in your role given the tone of your post.
