I'm really tired of the whole situation. I don't want to be at Intel anymore. Thoughts?

This may be a nit for some of you but if you have been at Intel for a long time chances are your wardrobe and personal grooming has suffered greatly. Time to go shopping, Color your gray and get your eyebrows waxed ladies !
Yes. Like many have said, get your cover letter template and resume updated, work out the rust and kinks in your interview skills, start familiarizing yourself with all of the potential job options out there and do some research about how to be a competitive candidate with an edge, start networking in person and on linked-in, and maybe have some off the record informational discussions with potential hiring managers about opportunities they may have open. Many of these things should be done regularly anyway, even if you aren't exactly looking to leave right away. If you're looking for state or federal jobs, take the tests and start applying since those can take time to hear back from. When you get all this rolling, you'll feel less stress and anxiety. And when you start getting offers, you may feel even less insecure and dependent upon "masta BK". Real talk.
Get resume together, build/enhance your network, and wait tI'll next round and get package.
I would say like others update your resume and try looking for another job and then quit Intel. The next round will be a mystery, but I would say it will be in no less than a year the way this is going.
If you enjoy your work stay. Always keep yourself marketable in case if things don't work out for you or with the company you can find something else without too much stress.
Please, all... Trust your management, especially your FLM. Intel managers are good people, but, these conditions as of Present Time are somehow harsh, they are temporary induced. at Q3 Y2016 everything will be more than fine. Who survives these hard times, will talk.

Intel is a PC company.
Think about that and look at the cold hard numbers. It ain't pretty. If you're not planning your escape, you have only yourself to blame for gross negligence of you career and future earnings potential.
Don't believe the propaganda on circuit or from BK. Get outside analysis and data and draw your own conclusions. It should be fairly obvious.
I'm in the same boat as OP. Too many good focals to get a VSP offer anytime soon, but it's impossible to enjoy anything about work with morale this bad. It also doesn't help that I'm not the "chosen" skin color or gender or sexual orientation, which puts my neck that closer to the knife. And of course open communication of that fact will only hasten my exit. The message is clear, if you don't agree for any reason whatsoever, shut up. Or else. GPTW indeed.
In the Q1 BUM BK said that no actions were planned or being discussed for 2016. Then in the Q2 BUM he announces layoffs on a scale we haven't seen since SET. And we're supposed to trust what this guy says? He rose to power on the promise of tablets and mobile, then cancelled most of those projects in favor of DCG and IOTG. I appreciate somebody who can admit a mistake and change direction, but that extends to the board of directors as well. It's time for them to take action. Both to send a message and to realign the employee base under somebody they respect.
It'll take major changes to make me want to stay at Intel. And not the changes BK is trying to force. When we fire good people for "cost savings" at the same time we spend big bucks converting the cubes to Ikea reject designs that people loathe, something is wrong.

No more layoffs? Where? Everyday there is a new site close, a reorg, people quitting and taking the VSP. What if Q3 is bad?
Need to work hard there will be continued performance management, that means every year 3-5% of the people who get IRs will get walked, no more CAPs IMHO.
Now if the business continues to decline ( like it wont't LOL ) BK will have to continue to reduce cost and HC thus today they say no more layoffs, did he not say that last time too. No expect to be BK'd by BK.
So my advice get your linkedin cleaned up, resume polished, excercise your connections and get some interving. If you get a great job, go for it, if not, sit tight and wait for the good package.
No more layoffs now. Enjoy at Intel. Try to do less work making sure you get successful and learn new skills.
