That's because Strategies was a no credit class that still cost $1400 that just about every student was forced to take for a period of time. The real scheme was in getting rid of it though. They replaced it with a 4-credit art class then a couple of 4-credit math classes. That way when these students inevitably failed out (and not for being dumb but for things like not having a computer), they would be on the hook for 4 credits or potentially 8 instead of 3 for failing Strategies. However, we had to sell it as 'guess what! now you get to jump straight into art classes instead of those BORING gen eds..."
