Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

When will Intel stabilize from this mess that BK and big M have created.

If Intel does not hire back the first batch of VSPers in the next six months or so, it will never be able to getup to speed and be productive in the next 2-3 years.

I would have thought the transgender bathrooms would have done the trick. Guess they'll need to pull out the big guns and lower the GPA requirements.

Stabilize, are you kidding, LOL.

They will stabilize when they get a coherent strategy that moves beyond just new uncompelling desktop/laptop on next x86 design on the next process node. The recipe that has worked for the past 20 years is BROKEN. Didn't work for tablets, didn't work for phones and is now breaking down for Laptops/desktops and soon severs.

While intel will still make billions this year the pace of interest and compelling features in x86 is falling fast. As the next round of 14nm show up and are duds, and the 10nm products push out the next big level of sinking of the Titanic will begin with more layoffs ( much worse ), and more cuts etc. etc.

Nah the worse is yet to come!

Intel basically walked hundreds of years of experience out the door, No matter what you say about the folks who volunteered to accept the VSP, Intel will need most of them back to jump start itself. What the dump management thinks and does is a totally different matter in itself.

Wow, you really are clueless OP. As long as we have the same decision makers, nothing else really will save Intel.

Last time Intel did a stoppage, layoff it cost them dearly with AMD. There's no doubt there will be repercussions of this layoff. Anyone who says differently is stupid. Intel should find them and lay them off.

To OP

Soubds like the desparate voice of someone who is eager to come back.

Dont console yourself by the fact that you got VSP. You are probably a bit slow (no surprise there) to realize it was really ISP packaged as VSP. So you were actually among the causes intels failure not success.

By the way if you dream, dream a bit bigger than whining to come back to a place that kicked you out.

Your clue to get out was "contra revenue".

Any leader that backed that idea is a moron. You can't allow your career to be dictated by morons.

If you haven't figured out Intel is on a slide for the next 6+ years due to BK's decision, then you are as dumb as BK.
