Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why does Intel need to give any packages?

Seeing folks being pushed out already results in employees thinking Intel is a sh*tty place to work, so I don't think any severance package will change that mentality.

Problem with offering packages is I won't want to ever leave on my own to work elsewhere. I would feel like I'm leaving lots of money on the table.

To speed up the layoff process and meet their headcount reduction numbers. No worries, in the future there will be no packages because Intel will not be able to afford them.

Why did your father waste money on a nice funeral when your grandpa died since the dead could not appreciate it anyway?

Intel is very generous.

They even offer free chips to their customers through contra revenue. Apparently BK thinks Intel runs a charity.
