Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

ISP: No severance pay yet (in OR) !

They received my signed document 4 weeks ago. I asked for confirmation, for which they confirmed 3 weeks ago and said "processed it". No check/deposit yet. Sent email a week ago to crm_tran*, no reply!

Oops. I'm the last poster (2alt ). I meant to add.... maybe exempts will get their final paycheck more coinciding with their normal paydays as happened with mine. When would your next payday be? Or, can any exempts that took a package post whether or not they too received their "1 year" paycheck on 5/24 like non-exempts did?

I got min on Friday, 6/24, and believe that I could have seen it on Wednesday if I had checked. (like I could every pay period (2 biz days before payday). Note that I was an hourly/non-exempt employee. They're paid every 2 weeks on a Friday, not 15th and eom (or is it the 1st and 15th?).

I don't think HR was prepared for all of this.

I was told they'd fed ex materials within 24-48 hours of notification. Never happened. Weeks have gone by. I'm 3 days from my term date and I have received no additional information.

Execution and communication have been very poor.

Well, typical Intel, always late. If you work for Intel long enough, you would know.

I'm from Oregon and I sent mine both via email (scanned) and a snail mail. got mine yesterday 6/24. I should say I've been at Intel only for 2 years, so the LoS was pretty small.

I literally could have written this exact same post myself. Finally called Intel HR payroll at the 800 #, option 7 yesterday after no response to 2 emails to Transition or CPM in email. After being on hold over 45 min finally got someone who was helpful. Walked me thru all the #'s for weeks of severance, ESPP refund and before and after tax totals. Told me direct deposit this Thurs on 6/30/16. Also said Cobra $9K payment would be separate and another week or two later. Have to wait until July 1st for Intel to release all 401K, Pensions & Retirement Savings money to Fidelity, then you can start rollover process from there. Call Fidelity to get things started there, they've been very kind and helpful with no wait on hold.

Good luck, hopefully you we'll get our money soon really! Amazing it's taking this long while Intel instantly was able to cancel medical, stock and retirement accounts the day of termination. Talked to a few other people who gave been layed off from high tech jobs in the past and literally all of them were fully paid out when they left, none more than 2w later.

They will try delaying the hit as long as they possibly could.
