Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel vulnerable through end of the year?

Anyone else notice IT security groups are losing a higher than proportionate number of people to ISP/VSP than other groups? Those roles can take up to a year to get an internal hire up to speed and multiple years to really know what they're doing. A Recent College Graduate even more so. Now the affected groups need to stop closing known security gaps and fill the resource gap. In some cases they'll backfill with new hires and the Leftovers will have to train them.

So is Intel more at risk to security attacks due to a large exodus of experienced security types and scrambling to fill the people gap? Is intel vulnerable through at least the end of 2016? Stockholders eventually shrugged off Sonys failure to protect themselves. But Intel may never recover from the embarrassment of a major hack.
