Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

May 25th will be next round

Some managers had meeting on delivering the message. If you suddenly get a 1:1 for Wednesday with your manager...your on the list. This time it will be just manager and employee...no HR in the room. Exit date will be June 30. So it seems no throwing people out the door and can actually say goodbye to folks.

Tell HR what you think of all this: transition.support@intel.com

God bless, hail Allah, and all that.

Did you ask what the selection criteria was. Or is it based on age, sex and race?

OP was dead on. My position has been eliminated and I have til June 30th to find a job or leave.

Same package but as it will be involuntary I can apply for unemployment.

That being said I truly enjoyed watching 3 millenials playing pool while I was getting coffee at 8:45. Enjoy your younger diverse employees BK you f---ing sociopathic cocksucker.

Hey I got a 1:1 added to calendar yesterday. I'm already offered VSP though I wonder if/how this is different. I'll let you know at noon!

"I did a quick search and found HR booked at least one large conf room for May 25 and June 1 in my building."

I'm sure that they're just holding some training and development sessions. LOL

It makes sense. The ACT site does say employees will be given minimum 30 day notice. For this to be true you have to notify on May 25 or June 1. I did a quick search and found HR booked at least one large conf room for May 25 and June 1 in my building.

Also I have a feeling this was going to happen earlier but delayed because my manager starting acting funny with me two weeks ago. He probably knew some thing was coming.

I keep hearing the date May 25th pop up (along with "late May"). And OP might have misinterpreted, that might just be the start date for meetings. Not saying they all have to take place that day.

Or it could all be made up. Only one way to tell.

Not sure about the dates but OP is not kidding :(

This is ACT efficiency phase. If your manager did not get pulled into meeting with HR ( "transitionsupport" ) you are safe.

Only one day (May 25th) to notify impacted employees on cancelled or scaled-back projects?

the internal act site mentions May 18 - 25 for notification for employees at US closing sites. In addition, are they also notifying employees impacted due to project cancellations and efficiencies. It is difficult to follow what is happening/when. Please share specifics if you are impacted or know of anyone impacted this week.

At this point there are so many layoff activities and voluntary package offerings in individual sites and BUs a regular employee has no hope of seeing the big picture.

OP just had a dream last night about this. Woke up , came to this website and posted his dream..so funny to see people who have no clue what they are talking making comments and posting stuff on this website. Most of the people posting rubbish are people who suy home all day eating from their unemployment paychecks..
