I had "successful" for the last three years, "exceptional" for the year before that and was always getting my stocks. I got VSP but not sure if to accept it. My manager doesn't want me to leave but I understand it is not in his power to protect me.

Yes, you can get ISP, don't kid yourself by thinking otherwise. How long in grade? ~4 years is the limit. HR will just adjust their database query to snare up more "under performers"
Everyone that is at the company is hoping everyone takes it. Thus BK and Richard hit "the number" and otters can stay. Who cares some groups don't lose enough and other too much, this is management by numbers not reality and need.

It's out of your managers hands. Your manager has no say in VSP or ISP. You need to do what's best for you.

Take the best deal for yourself, do you feel lucky? VSP don't make the numbers than ISP will come, how did you get VSP, you meet a criteria that some bean counter assumed would get to 12K, guess if they convert from "voluntary" to "Involuntary" and get the same result, who are they to care how they get there.
Beside I heard there is discussion at senior levels "why do I have to payanyone to leave, they are fired"
Expect money for ISP to be a lot less going forward!

I got offered it and Im getting out of F24 now cos things look like they are gonna get ugly - theres little respect from upper management for anyone beneath them and its getting worse

Run away and find a job elsewhere in a different industry. Management cannot be trusted plus with less people more work and less reward.
No argument here. Take VSP while it is available. The ISP it will transfer to will not be as good a package.

Do you feel lucky? If most VSP take it the likely Intel gets to their "number". Look around lots of jobs and VSP good enough for you to find another one, better take it. I don't think VSP will get them to their numbers and thus all VSP not taken become ISP.
