I know I'm thinking to do/or not do is constantly on my mind. Think I've made a decision then change my mind.

Take VSP and run!!! With VSP, you can make up any story you like on why you left.
Don't think about your team and the projects you want to finish. Intel doesn't give a rat's behind and you shouldn't either.
Even rats know when to bail from a sinking ship.
@yvr - regarding the plans you want to see come to fruition: Moses didn't get to enter the Promised Land. You got your group this far - they can take the burden now. You can go help another company.
I went back n forth playing scenarios in my head until I got paged by servers going down. Then I thought to myself that's a sign since I had logged into the network and then I signed the vsp acceptance. Then I felt relieved both problems solved.
The pressure to take the VSP seems to really be having an effect (as they wanted). The past couple of weeks I've seen 2 team members leave (1 VSP, 1 ERP). I know a few folks who are somewhat in-the-know. Not majorly tied into things, but you know those kinds of people who tend to know rumors and tend to be eerily correct about predicting things. Overwhelmingly, they think taking the VSP is the right choice.
ISP or VSP and interviews, just be honest I got f**ked by the company, they will understand. The world is full of ex intel people, many are in very powerful places while when they worked at Intel they were treated like 5hit. I know many FLM that are now VPs at other companies in a few short years. Tells you how intel treats and promotes talent.

How I keep working is simple: I'm not working for Intel; I'm working for the people in my group I support. That's always been how I handle it.
I've only worked for two groups in my decades at Intel, and one of those became another company.
My FLM has no answers and frankly appears shellshocked. Haven't talked to my SLM because my FLM has said he doesn't know anything either, and I believe him. Our TLM/DH is someone who believes that any action you take be vetted against whether it's good for Intel, then trickle it down to you and your group. I'm the opposite, so any conversation with him won't go anywhere even if he does know anything.
Our admin (former-got walked out a month ago) says to take it.
I personally know of at least a dozen people who got ERP, VSP or both. Most are taking it. Many of these people are people whose support is vital to the support I provide. That's a problem; we're short-staffed site-wide as it is.
My incentives to take it are many; a year of COBRA paid in full ($400/mo savings right there!), a five-figure severance after taxes, the family was thinking about pulling up stakes anyway-this makes it a bit sooner, financial situation is such that I can scrimp and survive well into 2017 without having to worry about working right away...
My incentives for staying are few but important: i love my damn job. Always have. There are plans I initiated I want to see come to fruition. And this is really getting in the way. I told my boss that I understood he wasn't in the loop on the vsps and there's a likelihood he'll have to walk me out even if I don't take it. He's a bit shellshocked...
My thinking has always been group-centric, and as such I don't have much of a finger on the Intel pulse, or lack thereof. But what little I've heard from outside this forum, combined with what's in this forum (after getting around the trollocities) makes me wonder how long Intel's been just another American corporate entity, and not a real company...this didn't happen overnight...
My feeling today: 60/40 for leaving...that may change by morning...
With vsp you can control the narative with isp you will always have that awkward question to overcome in interviews. Take control of your own destiny lose sight of the shore.
Just take the VSP and take your chances outside of Intel. You will not regret it.
Same here, hard to concentrate on getting work done when all you're thinking about are what-if/what-if not scenarios.
