It is about Bucharest. The closing date is not yet known, they just started the legal procedures and they will start consultations with the representatives of the employees.

People, the section dedicated to Intel layoffs is full of trolls and irresponsible posts. Shame on you. I don't give a rat about your trolling about QCOM or NVDA.

Now, can anyone comment seriously about layoffs in Romania? There are three sites: Bucharest, Cluj and Galati. The latter is Windriver. Bucharest is SSG. And Cluj is based on the Kno company for educational software and digitizing the school books.

So, for which sites there is a formal decision to be closed and employees notified? When is the closing date (e.g. in 2017, in 2018, in the next two months, etc). Please, be as detailed as you can. Enough trolling.

All sites with less than 500 people are on the chopping block

Nobody proposed any relocations, what are you talking about? Galati is not even an Intel site yet, it is WindRiver.

Sorry to hear you guys are impacted. Please can you clarify the town where the site is closing? Is Galati a bigger site? How many people there?

They finally identified the biggest problem in this company.... With the closing of this site things will finally come back to normal and Intel will be again a great company. Really pathetic!

Murthy shall soon take Tata or Wipro to replace Romanian SSG engineers. It might just take two to three times more heads and with higher cost.

So will intel get rid of the silly KNO platform altogether, or just move the dev and support team from Romania to the states?
