Intel 10nm is likely denser and faster but if it is MIA till 2017 then does anyone really care how sense and fast it is?
I would expect lots more cuts required to hide costs of 10nm and falling 14 and 22nm prices
Intel kookaid drinkers keep drinking. Have you seen the reverse engineering and measured silicon from 16FF. Fact of the matter if Intel process so much better than why has mobile processors been a disaster if the process is so good?
Samsung/TSMC 10nm should be roughly as dense as Intel 14nm. I didn't believe that at first, but looking at sites like chipworks, which Xray chips and actually measure things, you see that it's true.
Did you even bother to read the article you posted? It says nothing about yield. They effectively taped in the equivalent of intel x73 test chip , which was taped out 2 years ago or so.
Chalk up another loss for Krzanich and Ahmed, furthering the fast decline of Intel.
