Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

I am a gay male engineer about to be transferred to Nigeria geomarket. Are there any SLB gay expat groups I could Join?

Any contacts and emails welcome.

Thanks,

Ricardo

I love this f---ing site! It has gotten a little more difficult to determine who is joking and who the F---ING IDIOTS are. Keep the laughs coming!

Ike, sounds great. My account at Bank of America is 45562417. Right now I have about $50k in there but transfer the billions and I will forward. My gay lover asks that you meat up with us :-) He likes meat. When we arrive at the airport, we will be wearing pink shirts and will be very well groomed. EVERYTHING is nicely trimmed. You will enjoy. Finally I can't wait to meat you also.

Hi Ricardo, I run a company who specialize in relocation for expats into Lagos Nigeria and would be more than happy to help you move and adapt into your new assignment in Lagos. Have you started to look for a place to live yet? Let us know and we can assist you with that and many other things to ensure your stay in our beautiful country is most enjoyable. We have work with many Schlumberger people in the past who can recommend our service to you. My name is Oke Wasabo and since you are still in the USA I understand perhaps you could also help with a business transaction we would like to do asap. My great uncle was ambassador to the UN living in NY and recently passed away leaving a significant amount of money in his bank account over there and I ha e not had the time or been able to get a visa to travel and need some help to transfer this money back to Lagos. It's several billion US dollars and perhaps we could transfer this money to your account and you could forward it to my account in Lagos? Of course you will be well rewarded for your efforts and I will also provide a first class adaptation service for your new home here. Please email me your bank account details to okewasabo@gmail.com or call me on +2349091260897.

Your sincerely,

Oke

Schlumberger do not support gay employees with expat groups or anything like that. It's totally ridiculous and why should you get any special treatment? You will be treated the same as any other employees and if you break the law in any country you risk being fired and sent back to your home country. Please don't come here looking for special treatment when so many people have been laid off and you should consider yourself lucky you still have a job in ththe first place! Grow up!

I don't believe someone who has illegal gay sex in the back of a car and still goes to gay discos should be able to adopt kids. What will they think growing up!!!

Or am I just an old f----t myself and just behind the times today? My dad would not have allowed me to do that

I had gay sex with the a Nigerian geomarket market manager in the back of his car in downtown Lagos and we didn't have any problems. At least I didn't but he did later on when his wife found out about it and ran off with the manager from weatherford to Angola. He is now in a very high position and I won't say his name to save embarrassment but I think everybody knows him. Anyway you can have a gay social life there and if you just be discreet and low profile you will love it. Later I moved to the USA and have a great life here in Houston where hay rights are actively promoted and we even had a gay mayor who I knew very well from some charity work I did. My partner and I were able to adopt some kids and we now lead a wholesome and normal gay family lifestyle. Lol...today is our anniversary and we are going out to a nightclub to celebrate and dance the night way to 70s disco music with a special guest appearance by Donna Summer. She is so good!!!! I feel love..

This last one is not true. You can go to jail for having a gay relationship in Nigeria so DO NOT take this risk.

Explain to your HR manager and ask for another assignment

Don't listen to anyone here. In Nigeria there is plenty of gays you can have gay sex with. If you are that worried I'm sure you could persuade SLB to bring your friend over with you. You probably can't go into female restrooms, but you can piss in public there in some places.

I'm sure though that lets say HR says no to your friend coming along that you will still find plenty of opportunities for even unprotected homosexual sex in Nigeria. I used to see two Nigerian cooks do things with one another that surprised me in public. If Why Not is still in Lagos I'm sure you can find some there.

Anyway good luck in Nigeria and don't worry, you'll not go without there. If worse comes to worse just have one of their local girls roger you up the ole dirt chamber. You are an engineer you'll figure it out. Just remember Samwell's song, Nigerians love Samwell.

I can't believe whats going on. We laid off some of our best people and HR told us we can't lay off any minorities because we need to meet the quota even thought our best people are non gays. Total BS

Ricardo, homosexualiry is ilegal in Nigeria however there are some secret gay clubs in Lagos that I have been to a few times. Its not like USA but ask your HR manager for some guidance and the country guide for gay and transgender employees.
