If u leave intel due to ISP does it go on ur record in anyway and affect getting the next job? What about VSP?

Layoffs happen constantly at all companies. It's up to you to control what is said. Intel cannot discuss anything about your employment to prospective employers. You simply state you were affected by the restructuring of the company, as was 12,000 people, and that's it!
That you're part of the 12,000 person Intel restructuring is all that they need to know. Intel's loss, another employer's gain.
Unless you actually really were a sh*tbag, folks who have had accomplished (or abbreviated) careers at Intel and for whatever reason got an SL4 on top of a successful rating should and got ISP should hold your heads high.
Recruiters and prospective employers want to hear about your accomplishments and skills and not dive into the sordid details of stupid HR algoritms, stock levels, Intel three letter acronyms and the like.
I dont think it affects anything. They will just examine you and weigh your expertise. You could be really good candidate for them. Best of luck!!!
I had a call from a recruiter with a hi tech company. The first thing she asked was if I was affected by recent Intel news and that is why I was looking for a job. Every recruiter out there knows it. When asked the question, I have explained to other interviewers that Intel has started to eliminate 12k jobs and my job was one of the 2000 jobs that have been eliminated in the three major US sites. They all seemed satisfied with my response.
Well, @HuBeGIe-gys, that's not entirely accurate. I was not affected so far, but I'm actively seeking new employment so I have a clear path out if I get hit in the next few weeks.
It is all over the news, once they see you are with Intel they will know you where "Affected by the restructuring."
My understanding is that Intel HR can only state that you worked there, your start date & end date. That's it.
I have been honest and open in my interviews about why I am ISP. 20 plus years and my first level four. Showed them my current salary and rating, my salary said enough about how this company valued me. If you are good you will get a job, if you are average you will get a job, may take more time, and if you at IR maybe you need to do more reflection.
Intel generally doesn't provide references officially nor release reason for release.
