Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

America's Greatest CEO

How awesome is it to see Krzanich wasting 10s of millions of dollars on a horrible reality show fake laughing at Shaq jokes while telling every moron on the show he'll give them a job? Oh look a Bluetooth mood ring pitched by a complete moron!

Brian is the bestest!

BK using below tactic to get raise.

If read between line, Intel has no new competitive product other than milking x86 tech developed many years back but with variety names. The same top management before BK become ceo or not, they know this but they choose to act dumb-ass The whole top management n boards should be fired!

Promoting BK to CEO can be ranked as perhaps the worst Board decision in its history. Here is a guy who was strictly on the semiconductor mfg side of the house with zero business experience. It is in his background to reduce costs, not to grow a business. PC business severely declined even in his tenure as head of TMG. What a waste. Intel needed a superior businessman after Otellini left and did not do their job. sad.

Noyce, Moore, and Grove were legends, brilliant both business, technology and visionaries.

Craig while academically trained and smart a cut below

Paul or PSO well he has an MBA any questions why he didn't take the Apple offer he did the P/L and said NO

Brian Krzanich or BK as he is known what is academic record. What was his career accomplishments, beyond the fluffy of rising fast, what did he really do.

Look at the CEOs or leaders of the other companies, either brilliant, or do have a track record of brilliance and insight, yeah ambitions and working hard aren't not what will make a company successfully in executing what clearly is a right hand turn. THe reality is very few companies execute this successfully. Many have had positions of monopoly like Intel. As BK said he wants to do this while Intel is still strong and makes money. So he institutes a stupid talent and morale sucking blind by the numbers layoff. He talks about transparency but nothing is transparent to the layoff, company strategy or frankly how this will recover.

I see significant more downsizing and pain for Intel. Everybody in technology is hungry for intel's business and margins, they are all clawing at it. Frankly TSMC, Samsung, Global Foundry are now close or passing Intel in the technology. ARM, Qualcomm, Apple, and others now design stellar if not better products because competition breeds innovation. X86 has always been about crushing AMD and faster for MS OS.. there is no competition so Intel just draws a straight line from where they were before. They simply don't understand nor can comprehend the external way of thought or competition.

Now that several Qualcomm castaways are here, it will be interesting if the captains can change the product side. But their is no saving intel of the manufacturing side is late again, no product how lean, how smartly defined and featured can compete if it is late.

@CGT - it would have been more awesome with 125 drones but 11% of the drones were let go.

Does anybody watch this show? Any reality blog you read on the Internet says it's a flop.

You see any other tech CEOs doing that with their valuable time. Tells you something about where Bk needs to go or how he has to see ideas to get them.
