Work it like the mercenaries

Let's face it must immigrants are here for money. I don't blame them. They just work at a company do their tasks but don't care if it's successful. If it goes belly up just move on like a swarm of locus. We should learn from them

As an employee, you have to be a fool to think your relationship with an employee is anything else than something like a mercenary. Its not exactly like when times are tough they are going to keep you around.

How's does that favorite movie line from Godfather go? It's business, not personal.

The difference is that the American, of whatever race or color, has a vested interest in the community. They're paying their taxes, raising their kids, and generally working to make where they live a good place. Someone here for the money doesn't feel that same way and sends their money home.

As to the idea that none of this matters because we were all immigrants at some time, it is convenient to ignore the generations of hard work that went into creating these communities. All that work isn't negated just because they're not the original native born Americans. Those who think only the Native Americans are entitled to live here don't belong here either. Furthermore, the land should be returned in its original condition. If the whites are supposed to go home to Europe, everyone else should go 'home' too. It's absurd, but let's keep the standards consistent and not apply just to white people.

Its ok if they really work. What we have seen most of the time is, these immigrants which is mostly from India are lazy and group together to hire and promote their own kind within the organization. They hide behind URM policy which is disgusting!

I am also a minority, and i think that such policy should be scrap as i do not want to be hired or promoted based on my skin colour but rather my capability!

It's disgusting to see the Indians play around with this privilege!

How is an immigrant from India, China or anywhere else working to put food on the table, house over family's head and kids a better life thru school in the USA different than Joe Smith who might have grown up on a farm in the midwest

We all work hard, hopefully because the pay is good, the future is good, management values you for your output, values you for your hard work even when maybe you can't progress further ( opps not so ). Kind of like a coach who has a cross country team of runners, got a four year varsity guy number 5 on the team but not getting faster, cut him for the freshman... WTF.

That is the new Intel nothing to do with immigrant, or US citizen, they want hard workers for cheap and if you aren't above average will you will get cut anytime they don't give a damn about how much good output.

The problem is far larger at intel than the lack of skilled US labor, but the flaw is in the total lack of talent in management!
