Just accepted the VSP. AZ is like living in hell and Intel is dead. So happy I can't sit still. No job offer either. Just sick and tired of all the BS. Good bye and good luck to all :)

lucky you! enjoy your new life it only gets better....
I've got my finger on the button as well. Have already started interviewing and will be leaving soon. I've lost all the passion I've had for the company.
You are my hero!! Go free. I wish you only the very best.
@HrnuaYe-ipo, Here is what I did. I signed up for the VSP and told my manager let me know if he needs something. The checks will come when they are ready. I am outta there.
I am trying to find out how it works if you take the VSP right away. When is your release date? The emails that I have received are just vague enough to make me hesitate. Do you have to use vacation/PA to leave immediately?
@ogz What are your businesses if you don't mind me asking.
Seems GAR VSP people still cannot join back.. so cruel..
Congratulations on your escape from inHell! I took the VSP in 2014. I worked fo intel over 20 years. Had great times at Intel until things started to get strange in 2007. It's like a zombie virus has taken over the company. A virus which allows only the dumb, mean and stupid to rise into management ranks. Literally the managers are too stupid to not avoid dangerous areas at Intel. That's why there are so many dummy signs throughout any Intel facility.
Now I run several small businessess which are set up to where money earned is based on work. I can shut down for 2 months vacation, return and turn the lights back on. MUCH higher earning potential when owning a business.
I quit after 20 years, no VSP, all positive reviews and good stock. Best decision I ever made.
good decision. I made the same decision two years ago after 14 years at Intel. I got another much better job with comparable salary here in AZ within a month and have never been happier since.
I am not accepting VSP. Intel is the best I can do. I don't want to give up my great pay for cuts that may or may not happen. I have no problems riding it out.
Congratulations to all that recently took VSP!!!!! There is life after Intel so just take some time for yourselves and unwind for awhile.
Me too. VSP out of Oregon. I'm already starting phone interviews. Good luck to all.
Same for me!!! I planned to leave this year & with VSP, they're paying me to leave. I have no hard feelings & feel blessed to have worked with such amazing & talented people. It's been fun and I'm off to a new adventure!
Hey bro, same for me! Planned to leave this year and was blessed with VSP. It is just time to go. It is muck better to leave with some money in your pocket. Best of luck!
Jealous!!!!! I wish I was in your shoes.
Congrats, OP! Good decision. just run away, never turn back. You made excellent decision, preserving your (mental) Health. :-)
All The Best to you (and to us all, small people, individual ICs)!
I'm hesitating on pushing that button but hearing your excitement is infectious -- I want to be free too! I hope I can work past my fear and leave the last 20 years behind me with not too much bitterness. I'm so happy for you! I'd very likely head back to Ca too...CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thanks guys :) I was in ATTD and going back to CA next week.
Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrredom!!!!!!!!!! Go for it my brother!!!!! And tell them that many are still trapped here.
Which group in AZ? I fully understand your decision
God bless and best on your future endeavors..
best of luck....I hope too that soon I can post the same about myself.
Great decision. Just remember that you are only a victim of this mess. You will do better outside Intel. Keep your chin up and good luck. The mgmt at AZ is awful.
You'll look back on this as being one of the best decisions of your life. I do! 2 years on the "outside" of the Intel prison for me now.
Good luck!! Somehow I did not get a VSP, I believe I had an 'exceeds' about 3 cycles ago, otherwise been an S/SL3 person. I am envious of you. I think many more of us will end up being dumped out and you have a head start. I hope you find something great.
