BK frantically repositioning defensively to halt Murthy power. Why else would you keep Aicha on board?

It was a two man contest to lead Qualcomm. Murthy lost (or was not chosen)...and chose to move on vs. taking another job at Qualcomm.

When Q announced murthy was not the choice for qct president.. Within a couple of days the PR came from intel about him joining intel and his new role..
Since the offer and position in intel could not have been created in a couple of days it leads me to beleive that he left on his own accord, and the single president decision in Q was made likely after he informed then he was leaving.
Likely he must have been courtwd for weeks or months ahead of time

This is not true. He used to be the co-president of QCT, when Q moved to single president he was ousted. The press release from Q mentioned the other guy was always their first choice, hinted that Murthy did a bad job there. In fact when Murthy departed, Q did not thank him for his 10 years of service.
Was it aicha, BK, or the board that suggested/approved the billion dollar loss each quarter ?

The skills needed to succeed in these new areas are just not in the current Intel DNA...and the people with the skills - usually hired from elsewhere - are purged from the system by those in Intel who are too arrogant and ignorant to listen to others.

Murthy left Qualcomm because he was passed over for the CEO job. And now he wants revenge.
He was brought on as the hatchet man. First inserted between BK and the VPs who previously reported to him. And next to start cutting programs, sites and employees to please Wall Street. He's an experienced hire in this area.
Read that Aicha left / quit. Then was brought back. Clearly for PR and not for performance reasons.
Intel is in disarray and will be for the foreseeable future. Its problems are both structural and cultural. Neither BK nor Murthy are the leaders who have the vision or skills to guide Intel to its next generation of success or to root out the deep dysfunctions in the culture.
In my short time at Intel, I have seen just about everyone who had a good head on their shoulders quit or get pushed out. The ones who remain are primarily skilled at playing the Intel game and networking to get resources for their pet projects...or just suffering in the dysfunction.
The board needs to go the distance and dump BK now.

Why else keep Acha at all? Obvious failure. She would have done better putting the $10B in the stock market. Instead he pissed it away with er lousy decision making. Rightfully she should have been fired and never given option to be rehired just like all the first time SSL4 receivers this year.
