Not that we can claim short term disability or we can participate in SPP, but they still took STD and SPP out of the last paycheck.

Intel stripped me off my dignity when they threw me out like trash in front of my colleagues. 30 or 40 bucks deduction is least of my concerns. When you are already out of work you can't get time off for disability: you are already off. Then, why are they charging you for something you cannot have. I was only making a point.
I've heard of people catching an STD from a h--ker. It seems at Intel it comes right out of your paycheck. Now that is efficient.
Take it easy friend. You are covered for STD up to your final check date and you will get paid out SPP. Don't sweat the small stuff. Good luck.
