Next time your waiter or waitress is slow. Or perhaps your plumber messes up 3x on your pipes. Your roofer charges too much. Your cable provider won't schedule a visit for 3 weeks.

before you complain about it....remember that this is probably how your employer sees you too.

--sbe. Horseshiit.... If it was so easy, you would have already done well before you got laidoff and not be in such a sh--ty situation to begin with. If you were one of those people that planned ahead, you already had other sources of passive income generating monthly income for you, and not so dependent on a salary. You definitely would have been doing this before you turned 35. You would have picked up rental homes when they were dirt cheap, put money into high quality dividend paying stable stocks when the markets crapped out years ago, invested in gold/silver these days thinking the dollar is going to crap out, etc, etc, etc. But you didn't do that did you? You got comfortable with your regular paycheck, probably lived above your means and have very little after tax savings, and now you're in a bind. After all, while this layoff would have sucked, it certainly wouldn't have financially impacted you to the degree it has such that you are so bent out of shape for so long. (being pissed you got canned is one thing...To stay pissed for many many weeks means you're harping on your loss, because you haven't found a replacement source of income).

Selling your 401k? Please you are a moron. Not only do you have to immediately pay capital gains taxes, you have to pay for a pretty steep early withdraw penalty (ok, maybe not if you apply for a hardship allowance, but it's a pain in the ass. On top of that, you mental midgets haven't thought about the long term implications. a 401k is a protected asset, a creditor cannot come after your 401k no matter what. Anything else is pretty much fair game from a creditor's perspective. But of course, you don't know that do you? Certainly not. Because once again, instead of spending the time to get a financial education, you like being a cowboy, giving that middle finger, when reality is, you are really not in a position to do so.

Given your limited understand of how money works, how successful do you think you will be now that all the sudden "you want to start your own business"? It takes lots of planning, lots of critical thinking, lots of learning. If you've waited until you got laid off before you start, most likely you're doing it wrong. You've should have started thinking about this years ago.

-dkz. Oh stop the bullshit. You know that's not true. If it were, you wouldn't be working at intel, you wouldn't be mad you got laidoff, and you wouldn't be needing to search of a new job.

Some Americans are a very interesting type of people. Even when the sh-- hits the fan, and they are in no position to negotiate, they still are so damn arrogant and cocky....And then they wonder why they can't find a job, because somewhere along the line, because of their arrogance, they unnecessarily burned your bridge such that no one wants to hire or help them. All the way to the poor house.

If money is not an issue, as you say it is, then GTFO this board and stop whining. You whine because your bread and butter is now gone, your cash cow has now been slaughtered, your milk is spilled, and now you need to face the reality of going back on the market to get hired, which sorry to say, yes it does suck. BUT, being so damn arrogant and thinking pissing off a few people won't make a few difference. Uh, ok go for it. What good are you doing unnceessarily burning bridges? Certainly, it's not helping your employment prospectives. If anything, you're helping all your other colleagues finding something else before you. But hey, keep waving that flag thinking your #1, be a big dick, piss off people....Let me know how it works out for you 3-4 months after your unemployment runs out....

Money is worthless sh-- -hgm. Very soon all of society will come to understand that. Will you be one of the zombies or one of the new leaders that will build a better society out of the ashes of the current one?

Well -blz. The reality is, unless you have sufficient fck you money, you do have to make sure you don't burn your bridge.

Pride only takes you as far as how large your wallet is.

So the question really is, how much fck you can you really afford?

My fk you is probably larger that most people, but it's still small relative to the 0.5% population of fk you.

That's right, be good little slaves, suppress your human emotions, and take one for the control system or else we will make you regret it later slave.
