Does any know of any recent NM transfers to OR got let go?

Geez, I can't imagine Intel doing anything else but letting them keep their relo bonus. It's not like they're leaving on their own volition. And for that matter, Intel ought to pay to move them back to NM if that is their choice....some of them have family here in NM and would probably like to come back.
Those who got VSP or ISP and just recently transferred from NM, what is Intel doing about your relocation bonus? Letting you keep or take it out your leaving package?
Agreed... the most depressing 8 years of my life spent in "gloom & doom" OR. It IS a sweat shop - morale is extremely low, had to train all the RCG Indian hires, who had no respect for us. NM site much better... but we all know the end is near. :(
I would take NM over OR any day.
The gloom and rain in Oregon will drive you to drink with or without a job.

Looks like weather should be the deciding factor. Get laid off in the desert with sunshine or in the totally wet and cloudy Pacific northwest.
It's your choice. Get laid off here or move to Oregon and get laid off there. Foreclosure here or there, so many choices!!
Why make your life miserable moving to Oregon? You'll hate the weather there. Best to stay in NM dry heat, mild climate and develop new career.
NM employees need to consider new "careers", or should I just say " jobs". Get the hell out of Intel. There is no future for those skilled in Fab operations. The mgmt in these areas are already planning their exits.
Yeah, one guy very recently transferred. Sold his house in NM, his wife and children were staying in a motel across from NM Intel site until kids finish school this month, then were planning to join him in OR. The guy is in the process of closing on a house in OR. He got ISP. Yikes!! Intel totally sucks!!!!
It is a very bad idea to move to Oregon, that place is a sweat shop and it is ran by GL That were RCG in the last 3 to 4 years. The house market is more expensive and you will not get more money doing the transfer and the most important , you will get lay you off. BE VERY CAREFUL. It happened to me. Let me know if you have more questions, I was 15 years in NM.
The NM transfers to AZ were cratered. Rumor is transfers to OR will be laid off. Less time in job or some lame excuse like that.
