Detailed definition of collocation and site consolidation, any samples of who would be affected?

To my interpretation, collocation and site consolidation applies to cases where there is one member or minority of team in remote smaller site, while majority of the team is in one of major sites (Oregon, Chandler, Santa Clara, Folsom).

But this should not apply to employees where their majority or almost whole team is in Chandler or Oregon, etc (major site) and they (alone or just few) are in Santa Clara or Folsom (which is major site as well) sometimes in the office area of many other cubicles from same organization unit.

Is my understanding correct?

Well Kinda. They will give you some time to find a job if you can, else you will have to leave. So not sure how this is going to work. Will have to wait and see.

I also understand there is some wiggle room for the Managers if they deem the non-core employees "critical". So Managers have some say is what I hear.

@wsj - don't you mean, else Involuntary separation? Seems like unless there is a relo opportunity presented to you, there is only an exit plan for you right?

No. Unfortunately your assumption is incorrect. Co-location efficiency applies even if the majority of the team is in one Core site and a few people are in another core site. The "few" are indeed in danger of being asked to move to the "team core site" IF they are Good performers. Else VSP.

of course this is my understanding. We will know soon. Very soon. Starting next Tuesday.
