I've had Successful SSL 3 for three years (I only have three focals as I started three years ago). I'm trying my hardest for o/EE but I don't have confidence I'll get it. I'm a grade 6 but I have a feeling I'll be getting VSP next year if nothing changes for me. Should I start looking for a job now?

@nrw - those numbers came from an internal document where Intel disclosed all the North American employees (by org, job role and age) so that they can be transparent about the ages of employees being impacted by the actions. The spreadsheet that's part of the document is called exhibit A and is lists all isp, VSP, ER, and those with no impact. It basically lists every North American employyee and how the were affected. If you know someone's org, their role and their age, you can find them identified on the sheet (but not by name - just by age).
Where did you get the numbers below. We are hearing different numbers like 1472.

Btw, that spreadsheet is only North America but we can deduce the rest of the globe numbers by looking at these. So the yield on VSP is supposed to be something like 10 - 15% which would put the VSP (for North America) actual at around 400. To be safe, we could just double the North America VSP and ER package yield percentages to get our total estimate.
Global ISP (according to the leaked slide) - 3500
Global VSP (a conservative estimate according to the internally disclosed spreadsheet, exhibit A) - 1000
Global enhanced retirement (conservative estimate according to exhibit A) - 1600
Site closure/consolidations - 1500
So we're about 5k short? What a disaster. Even if 100% of the people accepted the VSP and ER offer, we'd still be short. These upcoming project closures are going to have to be broad and far reaching.
If one doesn't have a track for 1,2 at best one has a year.
But hanging on.
You get ISP you'll get banned from Intel for life (you never know in a year you could be a contractor, they need someone to do the work).
And project cancellations are June 25, means you stay and 2 days later you're out.
Does anybody have an idea of hiw many are taking vsp/erp?

My limited sample size suggest between 10-20%. All comes down to how many older folks who aren't moving up you have. Long time in grade with out trend to above the pack means you are overpaid compared to your peers and intel wants you to go so they can hire younger cheaper work. After all experience isn't as important as work for less and listen to your boss.
But all these older folks got no where to go so they will likely all sit tight and force Intel to the next round. They hope they get the same package and another few months of paid work while they all are looking for a job.
What a terrible time to be working at Intel under this terrible cloud, simply terrible leadership here.

Can someone write a script to count the number of entries in the VSP column on that disclosure spreadsheet (exhibit A). Since the beginning of this whole debacle, we've known VSP and project closures would be the wildcards. As far as I can tell, no one is taking VSP, and very few are taking ER. It's crazy, because intel practically telling the VSP people that they're going to get fired and people are going to call their bluff. In the end it doesn't matter because they'll still get the ISP package which is almost identical to VSP. It makes more sense to hedge your bets and wait it out.
Maybe someone can verify this but I heard the percentage of people (worldwide) eligible for VSP will more than cover the rest of the 8%.
Vsp and erp got a 174 page document listing each person age who recieved ISP, vsp and erp.
Of three is only 4% Then more is coming. Yikes. I'd have to count that

Yes, 2% is low. I heard the total of VSP, ISP and early retirement is only about 4%. They need to get about 8% more. This why they are encouraging people who are VSP eligible to take it cuz next round the VSP may turn into ISP.
1472! That is not many at all. Where did you get this number from. That less than 2% of the work force.
