What happened to Oregon employees who were eligible for a sabbatical but hadn't taken it yet? Were they given that as part of their severance package?

anyone know the california law for sabbatical for ISP? do they get a payout?
If you read about sabbatical it's not a vacation but a reward for future employment to refresh the employee.
I would think they wouldn't pay it out.
But if you have it in writing, then great.
Define writing from HR?
You mean an email?
Does that count as a legal commitment if they try and screw you over (even if unintentionally)?
If eligible you will get cashed is what I have in writing from HR.
Oregon law really needs to be changed. I've haven't been able to take any vacation this year because of workload. If I got a VSP I'd be screwed.
If you already had it approved for THIS year, you will get cash out. If not approved, you are screwed. Sorry.
I asked the HR when I was being kicked out and she mumbled something like yeah you'll get it or they'll pay it out, or something like this. It seemed liked she did not know the answer, but she taught they pay it out. By the way, I was eligible for the 4-week, not the 8.
