Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Do not accept VSP

Don't give into the threat of next package not being as good. You will get 6-9 months of paychecks to make up for any decrease in severance for the next round of layoffs.

The only known fact is Intel requires $3B savings and everything else about VSP/cancelled projects is all speculation and hope. I'm not going to play mind games here. No one kno I Jomfruens tegns the answer including BK and Murphy.

Might want to keep that sh--ty advice to yourself OP. With less than 4% of the number of highly paid employees moved on HR will have a plan to implement soon as June 3rd rolls around- that's how Intel works. Us VSP'rs are headed to the ISP pool next, that's why it was a smaller than years past and direct target group, so they had a pool to go right after.

VSP is going to be continuous, per another thread the HR Strategy is to offer VSP weekly in waves called "Rolling Thunder" @HolL1v2-1kry and source is Admin Network

Sure you get to keep your paycheck for another 6-9 months, but you also have to work for it. At least the VSP give you that same 6-9 month paycheck while you snooze on the beach and a 6-9 month headstart on findinga new job.

People impacted because of cancelled projects might not the same as VSP people. If they cancel enough projects, then VSP folks are safe.

They have been talking about project cuts for at least a week. I expect on June 3rd, they will know exactly what they have. If there will be another round, then I would expect it sooner than later.

Agree that they won't wait 6-9 months for the ACT+ announcement, it'll happen 1-2 months after June, once they know the number.

Really if one has been at the same grade level for 10 years you think it's safe to stay.

& do we want to be work in that Charlie Foxtrot?

All that stress. You'll still gave to do work and not just sit on your laurels.

Which is ironical what focal is suppose to weed out.

I don't think you can count on 6-9 months. HR really wants to get this scramble done. Very easy for them since it's only people's lives they are dealing with.
