You can, but be very careful. There's a guy in MA spending 4 yes in prison cuz he did this. Granted, he accessed red cover documents while working for AMD and before leaving Intel. If you don't have your laptop, tore prob okay.

I asked about the same based on being isp'ed. I was told I can call Intel, they will end my employment early, and I will still get that package. That was for isp specifically. So I will miss out on some of may's pay.

BUT, I wouldn't do the above unless absolutely necessary. I am sure Intel would screw something up, and not give me my severance pay without tons of phone calls and emails... after all the experienced people who handle that sort of thing probably got isp or too vsp. I don't want to deal with that hassle for a few weeks difference in a new job. And really, if the new job can't wait those few weeks, they clearly can't plan well, and probably aren't a good place to work either.

Yes, that happened to me last year. I starts on August 3 after official end date of July 15. I thought it is good to have some time off to enjoy before taking new position in another company. Afterall I m sure we are all mentally disordered after sleepless oncalls and no night sleeps at Intel job.

you can leave immediately, all US Intel ees are "at will", meaning Intel can term you "at will" or you can leave "at will" - no notice is required by law. However, if you accepted VSP and committed to working through your final term date in June and you inform Intel that you have accepted another job, Intel will likely term you on the spot as by law you can't be co-employed. So your options are to stay employed with Intel through your committed term date and begin employment with new employer after you've officially termed, or, immediately resign from Intel (VSP is considered resignation) and begin your new employment immediately.

Just call in PA(personal absence) and be very secretive about this. Tell no one. Don't get fired and lose your buyout.
