We're not losers, we just fell into an algorithm. Personally, I'm OUT! Five working days left at Intel and offers on the table already.
Irrespective of your review, why stay at a company that is generally downsizing everywhere to meet a new lower margin business?
Intel is a sucky company to work for now. Used to be good.. now it is not. VSP recipients are lucky. Go on take the money and RUN!
What will happen is O/E and 1/2 will be rotatined around now to make sure everyone gets a positive message.
VSPers better kiss up to your manager and get promises of something positive. After all all the 1/2 and O/E from the past two years are safe.
Boy the top performers will be pissed when they get average stock, average rating and average raise as average people get more, LOL
I am eligible for VSP and will be taking it. No intention of staying at a company that does not value its employees or have any respect for them. We are all better off pursuing better opportunities elsewhere. Some of us might move on to be entrepreneurs while others would find jobs elsewhere.
Let break the possible options you stay:
1) get ISP jun24
2) stay and milk the system but with a high chance of being walked out earlier than spring 17
3) work like you have which probably means working hard and still getting ssl3 and ISP spring 17
4) work extra extra hard, and get ssl1,2
5) work extra extra hard and still get ssl3 and ISP spring 17
Sounds great doesn't it.
If intel wants to gut good people let them. Let them choke on their own decisions.
Let's hope the stock gives a nice blip so we can liquidate any Intel holdings.

I gave heard if isp and prospective employers call Intel they will state you were let go of performance issues?

Seeing all the stress put on you VSPers I am glad I got the ISP. The decision was made for me. Best of luck to you all.
It is losers like Krayzian and kissass*es blough blows, pot bellied lazy vps (dime a dozen) legal/hr/CS/Govt affairs should be terminated to get glory days of Intel.
The management had telegraphed as clearly as possible that VSP will turn into ISP -- especially if they don't hit the 12K target. If your group or job code was reduced by 10%, that may buy you some extra time.
Get out now. Take the money and run.
It's not a logical or rational process. It's like a Stalinist purge. The executives don't care if they hurt good people as long as they get what they want -- which is cost reduction (which helps protect their jobs).

Yes, I am VSPer (Very Special People) 😎. I am about to find a job. VSP folks, get on Linkedin and find a job until June 2nd and accept it gladly if you can. I am no way wanting to stay. I will redeem my prolonged promotion pretty soon and this will unfortunately happen in one of competitors.
One of the VPs flat out said that if you get another SSL3 you will be out next year. Been around long enough to know these jokers puffing out pipe dreams don't know what is going on. Earnings going to keep taking hits and they will panic each time and even turn on each other eventually.
If you can land another job it is a nobrainer. I will likely have to move and family is OK with it so I will send out some more feelers and take the VSP at the end of the month.
If you cannot move or not confident of getting a good gig then sorry to say it but you might as well stay and milk it till you are forced out. I am sure most will provide more value even with a gun to their head than the multimillion $ parasites that have infested the top.

I do not plan to stay after all this stress i am placed into. I lost my trust to this company. Trust is both ways. The minute i get a very good job offer, I am going to fly out like a bird, maybe with a new car. 😄 . Good luck everyone. I am going to my third job interview already. If you are a bit of a risk taker stay. The ISP is roughly equivalent to VSP and if your group is not be I. The cross hairs you will make it till next focal. If you get thrown under the bus next focal there will be 'some package' very likely
For people staying, do you get any path so you'll be better than a 3?
