Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

For those who are still around

You need to look at the internal facing employee blogs for the real gems. The link isn't very obvious from circuit, and they've made things less and less obvious to get to the real stuff instead of just the propaganda which always rises to the top of the ranking because of them getting featured space.

Dig around there, and you would find gems such as "Maybe it's not about the superchickens, but the fear of a fox in the henhouse"

If you think the comment by the guy in Murthy's forum was pointed, just wait until you get a load of what you can find buried somewhere in the internal forums. A few did get a talking to, but they just kept on going even today. At the end, the entire forum just got buried underneath somewhere. It used to be the case a long time ago that the latest posts automatically get on circuit front page.

Seems like since the layoffs were announced eveery article I've seen on circuit has not accepted comments. Which ones are you talking about OP?

Some did and still do speak their minds just not completely in a balls out way. Some posts are very pointed and make much more interesting reading than company koolaid.

No one speaks what they really feel on Inside Blue... because if you did you would get fired at worst or given an HR written warning and subsequent bad rating at best. The hilarious part of this entire layoff is that there are critical things that actually no longer being done or are being done halfassed or being delayed by whole quarters because the people who did them got an SSL4 for ONE year and were walked out. Most folks I know are taking long lunches and basically saying f BK. No morale at all. I am surprised as much work is getting done as is.

true.. there are some blog posts on circuit over the years that are nuggets of truth.. intel eventually tries to bury those.. or if you reply to them in the comments sections, they may sensor by removing your comments... that's what they did during the whole lawsuit where the big tech firms colluded in an illegal agreement not to poach each others' employees in order to keep down pay...

@iws Nonsense. I've seen plenty of posts trying to improve the system, and I gave an example. Not saying it'd actually do much, but after writing the posts, those people are still around and doing just fine.

@nsn Nice try troll.

As long as you are inside Intel you have no right to speak anything against Intel, even in a good sense to improve the system. If you protest manager will split all his angers on you that reflects in focal, SSL etc. It continue to happen.
