Based on what I read from this website about layoff. NGC DM got hit hard in the last 5 weeks, layoff after layoff with a lot of demotions in management level. Is Alaska DM next? I am have a house note, two cars and kids to pay their private school. I can not afford to be laidoff any time soon. Can some one from HR tell me that we are safe in Alaska. Only good news please

volatile markets, not good for investors, not good for employees. Stock investors should be leery.
China is still slowing down. And the Saudi s are keeping the taps on. Other sources
of oil coming online for more glut. Not good for NAM. Maybe for off shore east exploration? I remain a skeptic on the higher ups decisions.
As below - get your ducks in a row. By Summer the only "blue" we'll see in NAM is at the grocery store mashed up in a Blueberry pie,. As history shows, they'll pull out if no revenue can be made..
Well it's not like ANY of us "could afford" to be laid off. That house and your kid's private school? You are not alone and if you think that makes a difference, think again. HR isn't going to tell you sh--. So unless your first name is Paal, get your ducks in a row.
If you have the ability to pay for all the above you must be high up in management. Get a job outside Schlum...I think you will find that your management 'skills' are rather unique and are difficult to transfer to the real world. I wish you luck but the Fortune 100 companies will not exactly be beating a path to your door.
Private schools and two new cars? God forbid your kids were around commoners. How shameful would that be
