Every successful leader is a sociopath. That's how the world works. Just look at Trump. You got to cull the herd and put the weak out to the pasture. And if you don't like some socially inept nerd, there's so many ways to get rid of them. Just stick a smooth talking HR rep on them.
I personally like giving them a task I know they won't be able to finish or do well. And when they fail miserably trying, to put them on a performance plan. If the nerd is smart, he'll quit before knowing his task is futile. But being the typical freak and geek, he'll have too much pride and actually try to complete the task.
