I love the way the organizational announcement says that this person has left to pursue other interests. Shame on immoral management of Schlumberger can't be honest to its employees

Lady not HR but Legal... She knows as she is the one drafting the executives employment agreements.
Hasn't everyone who has been laid off "left to pursue other interests". Nothing wrong in that statement...beside how do you know they didn't leave voluntarily? Are you in HR?
There will be a few more leaving to pursue other interests over the next few weeks.. Should keep the "when's management going to get fired" crowd happy.
How do you the execs have special contracts? Are you in HR? And so what if they do..maybe if you had worked a bit harder, you might have been line for a special contract.

I love the "has decided to retire" part of the mail, yep, sure he has.
Don't forget, there is no more upward movement at his level. You just play musical chairs.
If he wants to be a chief officer it will have to be outside SLB
How much will it cost the company? All the execs have special contracts provisioning for high payouts separation packages wether voluntary or involuntary. And it's nothing like yours or mine... Not talking about few weeks capped...
