I am so sick and tired of paying for other people who suck at saving for their own retirement. It is time we stick a fork in social security and Medicare and move toward a self funded savings/retirement plan.
Trump promised he would cut both, but his advisers are now saying it's on the table. Good. I am glad Trump is flipping on this issue too.

The point is that social security money was never saved by the govt....way back when...LBJ raided it to pay for medicare. Dems have been raiding the coffers to pay for all kinds of welfare benefits.
Medicare even many yrs ago did not collect enough taxes to pay the benefits.
Whatever you paid over the years in terms of ss/medicare taxes was spent on people who are dead by now.
All the money is simply gone....
