I work for Nokia and they are planning to have 15000 people cuts between now and 2018. Most of them will occur in USA since USA is high cost region and about 4300 are planned for Europe (which leaves 10700).
There are top level executives who know how many people and when it will happen, but the USA executives are not talking. They think if they keep their mouths shut, they will be able to keep their jobs. But eventually, the USA executives will also go since Nokia is a Finland company.
No employee of Nokia is posting on the Nokia layoff site regarding the cuts. No one is sharing any information.
But I have to put my hands together for the Intel employees who are sharing information about cuts and helping each other find jobs on this site. I wish Nokia employees were this active in sharing information.
