They are forcing us out. The email sent this Monday is clear. Does anyone know we qualify for unemployment benefits in AZ after taking VSP?

I took VSP years ago and was able to claim unemployment in AZ, they said they didn't care what Intel called it that it was a layoff. AZ has one of the lowest payments like $265 a week.
you can always apply for it and see if Intel bothers to push back. I am betting they won't. Overall it isn't a huge sum of money. In Oregon the max you can get is $500 a week for 26 weeks. That is only $13k. I believe Intel has to pay some portion of that, but even if it was as much as half it wouldn't be worth their time to employ someone to figure out which claims to dispute and which to let go. And if they do dispute, then appeal their dispute based on their "encouragement" and veiled threats. You got nothing to lose. Just don't spend the unemployment money in case you have to pay it back.
Was probably one of the top 3 emails I ever received at Intel. It was like Sohail was treating me like a h--ker. Just take the money and get out. I am sick of f---ing you.
It's some freaky mind games from BK and Richard Taylor

Us taxpayers are broke and refuse to finance you fat out of work losers. Go back to Oregon with the rest of you freaks.
Can you place a copy of the email in this thread. The wording would be important. The state unemployment agency will call the employer about the conditions regarding your unemployment. You will need to prove that it was a forced layoff due to downsizing.
What a set of sh-- management they can't even do a layoff
