Someone posted elsewhere on here something like:
G5 - 3 years
G6 - 5 years
G7 - 7 years
Take this with a grain of salt, I don't have much to base it on.
I do know a G3 who has went through 3 cycles without a promo and got vsp, so I assume grade3 must be 1-2 years
1epp, did that person have more than SSL3 for a recent year? that would remove them from vsp.
4 years isn't unreasonable for someone in G8+ though...
They are NOT cherry picking. HR posted the criteria. It's listed in the 147 page disclosures document that is listed in the ER sharepoint site.
The Criteria does not apply to everyone. In one group everyone except for one person got a VSP offer for length of time in grade. The one person with no offer has been at their job grade longer and has no had EE or OO. The person is the lowest job grade through. They are cherry picking. It does not surprise me, however they are not telling the truth. That is what concerns me.
From what j can tell, the average time in grade is around four years, anything beyond that and you are considered stagnant. Also, I don't think the role matters - I think it's just time in grade.
From now on it will be 1 year before being walked out
Ask HR for their spreadsheet.
Average time is certainly independent of your performance in that position. Your mgr would not want to lose a high performer through promotion and moving on. Never happen
