Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

McNamaras compensation

Total Annual Compensation, USD 1,392,460....

Restricted Stock Awards, USD 8,015,930....

All Other, USD 551,636....

Fiscal Year Total, USD 9,960,030....

Ten million dollars a year for the CIO... Typical manager in IT: One hundred grand (if good performer).

Why the disparity? Is the CIO really 100 times smarter than the typical employee?

CRAP

Mike McNamara is one of the few TGT execs who is actually earning his money. We may not like all his decisions but he is transforming the entire org for the better. Finally an exec with a vision and the willingness to make the needed changes. He should be paid more.

I can't believe that's enough money to make anyone try to lead TTS. You'd have to fire everyone and start from scratch.

dont be jealous of his salary... he is absolutely adding value for the money he is making.. there are lot of dumbo KMG and Directors in TTS who dont know anything about technology. They all should be fired to save money for the company

Apparently he walked away from millions when he left Tesco to join Target. He does not make $10mm per year. The RSU's were communicated as being part of an incentive package for him to sign on. Also, the typical manager in TTS makes a few more duckets than $100,000 per year on average. I'm not saying any of these people are worth it, just keeping it real.
