Poor guy had to got to SJC and BUY an airplane ticket home. Rationale was that he was no longer employed by Intel and couldn't take jet back to Chandler. GPTW alright!

What about the employee who transferred from one Intel location to another. Sold his house in his old location and was in the process of closing on a house in his new location. He and his family were living in a hotel until the closing of his new house was complete. He was given ISP. Now he is stuck in a new location without a job. How does Intel justify paying to transfer an employee, then give him ISP?
There are still ways to submit expense reports. Same way we do it for people we bring out to interview and then don't hire... now, whether HR lets him or not is another story...
If I was him I'd raise hell with my manager and his boss AND HR until they made good. Threaten to go to the press. The press would eat this up. But I think HR and his management will do the right thing if they are made aware of what occurred.

Kid troll would like to know how it feels to be humiliated by a company 20% the size of Intel - forced to waste $10 billion and have nothing to show for except a CEO who is obsessed with drones.
Once you give your laptop , badge, and things that belong to Intel , how do you want him to submit an expense report ?
This is true folks. I know the guy. This is horrible. Humiliation of the highest level.
His final day with the company is still May 30th.
He may have to pay for his own ticket but technically he is still employed and he will be reimbursed for the expense.

What a shame. Yes, the moment you are not in the system, they will not allow you on the shuttle. Humiliation is reaching new levels. I have been screwed over my expense report. I had business travel expenses both on the corporate and my personal cards that I did not get to submit.
Bullshit! They HAVE to get him home. This is pretty much a guaranteed settlement if it's true...
Then again, that's why I always drive between FM and SC; haven't trusted Intel at their word for years...
That would be a good lawsuit if it's true.

RE: the ignorant poster who thinks because an employee rides the 'shuttle' Intel has to keep travel expenses lower, it means that employee is rich. This just goes to show you lots of people who have nothing to do with Intel, never worked here and never will Feel they should somehow still add their two cents into this forum.
@jbw - It is a "shuttle" for all Intel employees. One small step up from the greyhound bus of the skies (Southwest). It is not a private jet in the luxurious way that you are thinking.
If the guy could fly on an Intel jet (in other news: Intel has private jets), he most likely is pretty far from "poor".
