Amazon and apple pay entry level engineers with Intel grade 7 salary

  2. Apple: The iPhone maker is the only other company that boasts a six digit median salary for young workers, at $104,000. Apple's (AAPL, Tech30) $16,000 bonus pushes the overall pay package to $120,000.

And equivalent pay for living near Seattle or Mt. View is about $30,000/yr. Those wages are pretty crap, unless you commute 3 hours a day.

Google/facebook total pay package is around $300,000 nowadays.

Don't forget that these wages are largely influenced by the high cost of living in the bay area and similarly Seattle. The housing situation in the bay area has gotten out of control. Just go on Youtube and see for yourself.
