Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel Corporation: a great place to work unless they're laying off.

So Intel Corporation just announced they are laying off over 500 of its employees just here in Arizona, 12,000 company wide. I have already two phone calls with job offers on the other end for a temporary contract position for peanuts for the hourly rate.

Hey, for those who are left right now, Intel is a "Great Place To Worry!"

I think those of us who got laid off in the first round may end up being the luckiest.

I feel your pain. I also wasted so much personal time devoted to my work both at night and on the weekends. Never thought I would end up in the trash.

Even if the company does not lay off, it is still your career gave yard. Fundamentally, there is no career growth in this company. You will be asked to do the same old garbage work over and over again. Later, your mgr will tell you, "You could have done more". They will not give any work you can do well, then later you will be marked as a low performer. Also, basically you cannot get a promotion at all if your mgr is is G8 or G9 and you are also G8 or G9. Working for this company is such bxxx shxxx. I was so stupid that I wasted all those years, especially after BK became the CEO.
