Many ICs have eight layers of non-value-add managers and that includes many VPs. When is Intel going to improve that situation. Remember the 1000-manager March? Decisions are hard to make in that jungle. So much mistrust and micro-management.

Some VPs need to be axed. GMs in IT with a VP title is such a joke!! Don't even need these people with the service structure we have. Bloated overhead like that should be dumped.
Layers and layers of uninvolvement and disconnect from what is keeping the company going: the engineer. And these people fire those front line engineers at a whim after having been trained for 6 months-2 years.
I remember the 1000 manager march.
Business is changing and in these times I am not sure there is a good way to handle this.
Most of these managers are completely useless and depend on the lower layers to make decisions for them. Intel has seen its better days.
